A food and wine experience in Emilia-Romagna!
Are you looking for a customized tour to discover typical food and wine of Modena and Bologna?
Follow me and you will know what to do in Bologna and Modena in one day: we will visit farms, discover good products of Emilia Romagna region, learn how to prepare different recipes and just eat!
We will meet quite early in the morning and, by car, we could easily reach a Parmigiano Reggiano dairy close to Modena where cheeses from 12 to 38 months aged are produced. It will be nice to see the production process and buy a good piece of Parmigiano for the recipe.
Later on we will visit a small traditional balsamic vinegar farm where we could learn how the "dark gold of Modena" is obtained, taste it on ice-cream and buy a little bottle of this incredible product!
Then, with all these ingredients, we will meet the "sfogline", two fantastic sisters who prepare handmade fresh pasta every day. They will teach us how to use hands and rolling pin to create tagliatelle with ragout, tortelloni with ricotta cheese and tortellini with broth or cream. A real cooking class in the food valley of Modena and Bologna.
Before going back home, in the afternoon, we will stop at a wine farm to taste and collect a bottle of good Lambrusco red wine. A typical natural sparkling wine produced in the surroundings of Modena.
Other recipes can be prepared: crescentine with ham, Lasagne alla Bolognese, pizza and bread. Also vegetarian and vegan dishes can be prepared.
